Whitney Thompson; Plus-size supermodel, spokesperson for NEDA and creator of "Supermodel".

My goal is to encourage and inspire you to celebrate your miraculous, exquisite, and unique body. I want you to resist the negative messages being sold to you by the media. You are beautiful. You are unique. Here, we want to help you remember that.

If I can convey one message to you:
Healthy is Beautiful. Beautiful is not a size, not an age, and not a procedure. Healthy is beautiful."

“Beautiful” is celebrating the characteristics and qualities of your body, while nourishing and exercising
it to be as uniquely healthy and fit as only you can be. We are all created differently and I want you to stop trying to fit into a mold that someone else has defined as "beautiful". No one size will ever be accepted by everyone and it's important to accept that we are all different. I want you to be the best that you can be.

Your comments are welcome here, even if we don't agree. I appreciate all comments as long as they don't hurt others.

Always remember, life is too short to not live like a SuperModel!

Trying to Take a Breath

I woke up this morning with a migraine, so I turned off my alarm and missed my casting.  I really can’t function at all when my head hurts, but I am feeling a little bit better. I just watched “Leap Year” which was really cute and relaxed all morning.
I’m also looking for a dog cuddler for Baxter. He needs more than a dog walker and boarding when I travel. I really need to find someone to spend time petting him and sleeping next to him when I’m gone, but no one offers these services. I’m running out of options.
I’m doing a NOH8 photo shoot on Friday and I really need some ideas for the theme. I don’t really want to be naked again because I’m not a one trick pony. i was thinking about having NOH8 on a big lollipop but apparently it has to be written somewhere on my body... I need ideas!
I also have  business meeting tomorrow night about doing a full figured fashion week coinciding with LA Fashion week. I don’t want them to be separated. It should just be another facet of fashion week, so we have to work on finding designers, models, funding, locations, etc. And above all, I want it to be professional. I want plus size models to be taken seriously and be respected. It’s going to be a lot of work.
