“Beautiful” is celebrating the characteristics and qualities of your body, while nourishing and exercising
it to be as uniquely healthy and fit as only you can be. We are all created differently and I want you to stop trying to fit into a mold that someone else has defined as "beautiful". No one size will ever be accepted by everyone and it's important to accept that we are all different. I want you to be the best that you can be.

Just Me, My Journal, My Life, My Thoughts....

   Welcome and thanks for reading my new blog! I’m really new to this, but I think of my blog as basically, my journal. It’s just me, my life, my thoughts, etc. I hope you like it!

       Today I am flying from San Antonio, Texas to Los Angeles. My flight is delayed, but only by an hour so I’m sitting in the airport, eating a slice of angel food cake and chatting with my Mom while listening to Miranda Lambert on my Droid. I should arrive at LAX around 7:30 pm. I’m going straight home, saying hello to my little snuggle bug (Baxter, my 5 year old Basset Hound), un packing my carry-on (I never check bags...EVER!) and then repacking my carry-on for my flight to Toronto, Canada at 7 am. Also, my EXTRA segment for Torrid will be airing while I’m on my flight tomorrow and I have to Twitter for my fans to watch it while in flight! I hate paying for anything on planes, especially internet and TV. I always bring a good book and snacks. People seem to forget that, while you can’t bring liquids through security, you CAN bring food. Airports charge so much money and I fly every day or two, so I try to make it count. I mean, McDonald’s doesn’t even have a dollar menu and Jamba Juice doesn’t take gift cards. I‘ve always thought it was unfair. LOL But my point is that I hope I don’t forget to tweet about my spot on EXTRA. I’ll be working with a new client in Toronto. Actually, I’ve never been to Canada before. I’ve been all over the world, but never Canada. I hear it’s beautiful. I hope I get to see it before I fly back to Los Angeles on Friday. 
       
       Anyways, like I was saying, I am shooting with a new client on Thursday called Allistyle (www.Allistyle.com) and they are an eco friendly plus sized line! I met the owner at full figured fashion week and she has such an amazing story. I emailed her the next day and told her that we just had to work together. I love being at the point in my career where I get to make my own decisions. I don’t work with clients that I don’t like and I don’t sell products that I don’t believe in. It’s not about the money, I just feel better about myself when I can represent a product that I’m proud of. Hopefully the shoot goes well and everything looks good... I’ll let you know. Either way, it’s exciting that the plus market is expanding to include higher quality fabrics. There’s nothing worse than cheaply made clothes. All of my products for SuperModel are handmade in America.
     
     I also just finished reading an article in the Vogue Age Issue entitles, “To Have and Have Not” about cleavage finally being celebrated again this season! I was so excited!!! I mean, after reading it, I found that the article was a little too short and didn’t necessarily celebrate all curves, but it did at least say that women are allowed to have breasts again and I for one, am thrilled! I hope that this doesn’t foreshadow a rise of “straight” models with breast implants, but instead a search for women who look like women and the end of this androgynous look. I really don’t get it. I mean, I get it from an art perspective, but I want to buy clothes from women who look like women. Nothing about a man in a dress makes me want to throw down some money on a new outfit. Shopping shouldn’t be this complex. I look forward to seeing this trend continue. What are your thoughts???

    I don't like skinny models with breast implants. I remember when Victoria's Secret models used to be so beautiful and curvy, and now they look like little boys with huge fake boobs. Like you say- "Beauty is not a procedure."
