Whitney Thompson; Plus-size supermodel, spokesperson for NEDA and creator of "Supermodel".

My goal is to encourage and inspire you to celebrate your miraculous, exquisite, and unique body. I want you to resist the negative messages being sold to you by the media. You are beautiful. You are unique. Here, we want to help you remember that.

If I can convey one message to you:
Healthy is Beautiful. Beautiful is not a size, not an age, and not a procedure. Healthy is beautiful."

“Beautiful” is celebrating the characteristics and qualities of your body, while nourishing and exercising
it to be as uniquely healthy and fit as only you can be. We are all created differently and I want you to stop trying to fit into a mold that someone else has defined as "beautiful". No one size will ever be accepted by everyone and it's important to accept that we are all different. I want you to be the best that you can be.

Your comments are welcome here, even if we don't agree. I appreciate all comments as long as they don't hurt others.

Always remember, life is too short to not live like a SuperModel!

Pretty in Pink

While hot hues have been grabbing our attention from every makeup counter, there is another trend this spring that is easier to achieve. Nudes and neutrals consistently pop up in spring and summer because of their simplicity and feminine subtlety. This season’s electric notes leaving you feeling overwhelmed? No problem. Focus your attention on soft, pearlescent picks. Essentially, these are the complete opposite of everything else this season!
Think of a soft summer breeze blowing a floral, cotton dress. The warm sun leaving the lightest trace of flushed pink on your cheeks and dewy soft lips. Spring is dripping with girlie fun and we want to embrace the softer side of the season. Keep skin looking fresh and natural by using a cream highlighter like Shimmy by Julie Hewett in Pinkie, which gives off a rose-gold shine ($22) (cart.JulieHewett.net). Smear across your cheekbones, brow bone, and the bridge of your nose to give your effortless looking dewy skin.
Allow your blush to do double-duty this season. Sweep something sweet like Estee Lauder Signature 5-Tone Shimmer Powder in Pink Shimmer ($36) across you lids and over the apples of your cheeks. This will give you a light flush, keeping you youthful looking and brightening your eyes. You’ll want to play up these pinks with a natural looking brown liner and black mascara. Add another spot of your highlighter to the middle of your eyelid to make eyes appear larger.
Trash your lipstick for this look. Anything thick or sticky will only age you. I recommend a gloss like Love That White Smile (www.LoveThatWhiteSmile.com), which smells like peppermint and goes on light and comfortably while tiny sparkling pigments make teeth appear whiter. For more color, start with a lip stain and you will only have to apply gloss throughout the day. That way there is zero chance of smearing or embarrassing color on your teeth.
Essentially, keep things light, airy and easy. If it feels like too much work, it probably is. Soft shimmer, pinks, and pearls are your inspiration!
