Whitney Thompson; Plus-size supermodel, spokesperson for NEDA and creator of "Supermodel".

My goal is to encourage and inspire you to celebrate your miraculous, exquisite, and unique body. I want you to resist the negative messages being sold to you by the media. You are beautiful. You are unique. Here, we want to help you remember that.

If I can convey one message to you:
Healthy is Beautiful. Beautiful is not a size, not an age, and not a procedure. Healthy is beautiful."

“Beautiful” is celebrating the characteristics and qualities of your body, while nourishing and exercising
it to be as uniquely healthy and fit as only you can be. We are all created differently and I want you to stop trying to fit into a mold that someone else has defined as "beautiful". No one size will ever be accepted by everyone and it's important to accept that we are all different. I want you to be the best that you can be.

Your comments are welcome here, even if we don't agree. I appreciate all comments as long as they don't hurt others.

Always remember, life is too short to not live like a SuperModel!

8/27/10

I thought that today would be pretty laid back, but it was a little hectic. I went to a gifting suite at London Hotel in west Hollywood. It was a little small, but you can never complain about a gifting suite because all I had to do was walk around a room and get free stuff. I got three bags of stuff and had some wheat grass that tasted AMAZING. That stuff usually tastes awful, but this brand from Wheat Grass Oasis was so good. It tasted like green tea. Apparently the difference is that they grow it hydroponically and they use the root as well as the blade. Anyways, I’m going to another one tomorrow in Beverly Hills. I hope it’s good!
At 1:30 I met up with a German TV station and did an interview. We had to switch locations 3 times but the guys were really nice and I think that it went well. It should air this weekend in Germany.
After I came home I decided to go to the grocery store and pick up some sorbet and the grocery store had my favorite sorbet (Sicilian Blood Orange from Ciao Bella). It is so good! Unfortunately they only had it in the mini cup sizes, so I bought four little ones. It’s so worth it. I haven’t been able to find that flavor since I lived in NYC. Overall, today has been a success. I’m also posting my first recipe tonight! Let me know if you try it!
